REQUEST SCREENING
Thank you for your interest in hosting a screening of THE JANES! There are lots of ways to interact with the film, The Janes themselves and our community.
Please review the different types of screenings below to determine how to proceed.
Want to host a screening for friends, family, or neighbors in your living room? Great! If you have an HBO/HBO Max subscription (or someone in attendance does), you can watch the film directly on HBO. We’ve also created a resource guide to help inform your conversations about what you can do to protect abortion access.
No time to arrange a screening of the entire film? No problem! Watch the trailer with your large or small group and we can help you arrange a live discussion with some of The Janes from the film via Zoom (or another on-line meeting platform).
Prefer a book-club model? Great! Watch the film with a group of friends individually and come together via Zoom and talk about the film with The Janes themselves.
Hoping to host a screening at your college or university? We love it! Educational institutions can work with Swank, on behalf of HBO, to license the film for a campus screening - in a theater OR virtually online. If you’re interested in working with us to arrange an in-person or virtual panel with the filmmakers, the Janes, or other abortion rights activists, let us know.
Are you a nonprofit or advocacy organization that wants to host a screening event? That would be fantastic! Fill out the form on this page and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible to help make that happen. In some cases we’ll even be able to provide mini-grants to cover the screening fee and other event costs. We’d love to partner with you.
